Sit and Sleep offers many options to personalise their Sit and Sleep Futon Sofa Bed or Futon Chair Bed.
Customisation options range from FIXED or REMOVABLE COVERS, DETACHABLE ARMS (some turn into a headboard), a great range of FABRICS as well as the option to have the natural unstained pine frame components finished with a colour WOOD STAIN.

WOOD STAIN is available on all of our self-made pine base models – the colour choices are: Honey Pine, Rosewood, Dark Oak, Red, Jaffa, Charcoal and Cobalt.
A wood stain finish is a great way to individualise an item or tie in your new piece of furniture more closely to your existing furniture or room décor.
How do we apply the Wood Stains?
All of our self-made pine base models are made in our own workshop close to Cambridge.
For consistency and evenness of coverage, all of the individual components for our self-made, colour wood stained futon frames are hand stained using staining cloths before they are placed in the production jigs for assembly.
Technical
The wood stains we use are “fast” stains – which means when applied the stain rapidly absorbs into the pine and dries quickly.
The pine retains its texture and feel – there is no sealer or lacquer coat.
We have seen a good number of different combinations over the years – some really beautiful ones … and a few odd ones! The number of wood stain colours and fabric combinations means that there is a chance that you could be creating a unique product …something that nobody else has.
