Naturally Fire-Safe Futon Mattress – Compact Double Size

Our Naturally Fire-Safe futon mattresses are a great solution for a chemical-free futon mattress.

Made from our layers of un-treated fillings of layers of pure Lambs wool, woollen felt and optionally Superbond polyester or core foam.  The fillings are encased in a Woolguard interliner which is naturally fire resistant.  The outer upholstery fabric is a choice of pure cotton or woven hemp fabric.

Our Woolfelt fabric has a composition of 75% wool which meets the UK fire regulations as it is cigarette and match resistant - naturally.  This fabric does not require a Woolguard interliner for it comply with the UK safety standards for upholstery.

Choose from different filling specifications depending on how you want to use your mattress:

For two-fold mattresses choose between Original and PolyLux fillings - suitable for models where the mattress fold twice across its width..
For one-fold mattresses choose between Supreme and FoamLux filings. - suitable for models where the mattress folds once along its length.

Our Naturally Fire Safe futon mattresses have the following choice of fabrics:

Pure Cotton fabric
100% cotton upholstered over a WoolGuard (100% wool) interliner.

Hemp fabric
71% cotton certified under the Better Cotton Initiative;  29% Hemp Oekotex 100 (certified safe from harmful substances).

Woolfelt fabric
75% recycled wool, 20% polyamide, 5% other fibres

The availability of this product is shown against the fabric colour squares at the top of this page – simply move your pointer over each square and you will be shown if the item is in stock, if it is already on order or what the guide lead time is if we need to order it in. Items with the shortest delivery lead times are shown from the top left of the fabric squares.

‘In stock’ items are usually despatched to our delivery partner within a few working days of us receiving an order, once any chosen options have been completed for you (e.g. Fabric Protection).

The lead time for despatch to delivery varies according to your geographic location.

The delivery date is pre-arranged with you.

Once your order has been despatched, a delivery day will be booked with you by our delivery partner together with an estimated time slot for your delivery. Note: Small items, such as futon covers and cushions, are sent by small parcel carrier and delivery is not pre-booked, however, you will receive text/email updates as the item moves through the system.

If you have a ‘must-have-by’ date, please give us as much notice as you can so we can prioritise production of orders and plan delivery accordingly to increase the possibility of meeting a date.
