STAINSHIELD Fabric Protection

We all like to think we'll look after the things we buy, but with the greatest of care accidents do happen, which is why we offer Fabric Protection on all of the products that we make.

Once treated spills do not absorb easily into the fabric.

We use StainShield fabric protection, a mix of inert colourless odourless liquids that soak deep into the fabric fibres and protect them from the ingress of fabric staining spills. As a result most liquids and foodstuffs will not get absorbed into the fabric fibres and can simply be wiped off. A damp cloth may help followed by drying with a towel.

Having a party? - Fabric protection may come into it's own!

At Sit and Sleep we offer many types of fabric. Those based on natural fibres, such as our cotton drill fabrics are more susceptible to staining and so fabric protection offers a big advantage. Even with our easy care fabrics such as Prime although most stains will wipe or wash out, Fabric Protection offers an enhanced resistance to staining so your futon or sofa bed can stay looking like the day you bought it for much longer.

Do you have friends who do this trick?

StainShield fabric protector is generously hand-applied to order. As the protector needs to dry thoroughly before we wrap and send out your futon, please bear in mind that we will normally need an extra 24 hours to StainShield your futon before despatch.

The availability of this product is shown against the fabric colour squares at the top of this page – simply move your pointer over each square and you will be shown if the item is in stock, if it is already on order or what the guide lead time is if we need to order it in. Items with the shortest delivery lead times are shown from the top left of the fabric squares.

‘In stock’ items are usually despatched to our delivery partner within a few working days of us receiving an order, once any chosen options have been completed for you (e.g. Fabric Protection).

The lead time for despatch to delivery varies according to your geographic location.

The delivery date is pre-arranged with you.

Once your order has been despatched, a delivery day will be booked with you by our delivery partner together with an estimated time slot for your delivery. Note: Small items, such as futon covers and cushions, are sent by small parcel carrier and delivery is not pre-booked, however, you will receive text/email updates as the item moves through the system.

If you have a ‘must-have-by’ date, please give us as much notice as you can so we can prioritise production of orders and plan delivery accordingly to increase the possibility of meeting a date.
