Our most popular futon, the Traditional has fold-out legs which automatically lift the base up as you fold it out as a bed. This gives a sleeping surface height similar to a normal bed, making the Traditional Futon ideal for people of all ages.

TRADITIONAL Futon - King Double Size

The TRADITIONAL futon in the KING DOUBLE size is a great option for a super-size futon sofa bed. With a generous seating width of 152cm which converts to a bed with a sleeping area of 152cm x 193cm this is an ideal solution for a substantial sofa bed. The TRADITIONAL futon converts to a bed with a conventional bed height - so no sleeping close to the floor as with some futon designs.

This Traditional Futon sofa bed comes as standard with our Original futon mattress which gives good performance as a sofa or bed.

For additional resilience and loft you can upgrade your mattress to the PolyLux mattress which includes an additional layer of 450g/m2 SuperBond Polyester.

The Futon Mattress is rolled and bagged in heavy duty plastic. Typical measurements and weights are:

Just link the two parts of the frame together with the Allen key bolts supplied. If you’ve also ordered the optional Headboard Arms, these require a small amount of additional assembly.

This product is generally kept in our stock and is usually despatched to our delivery partner within a few working days of us receiving an order, once your chosen mattress and options have been completed for you.

The lead time for despatch to delivery varies according to your geographic location.

The delivery date is pre-arranged with you.

Once your order has been despatched, a delivery day will be booked with you by our delivery partner together with an estimated time slot for your delivery. Note: Small items, such as futon covers and cushions, are sent by small parcel carrier and delivery is not pre-booked, however, you will receive text/email updates as the item moves through the system.

If you have a ‘must-have-by’ date, please give us as much notice as you can so we can prioritise production of orders and plan delivery accordingly to increase the possibility of meeting a date.
