Our most popular futon, the Traditional has fold-out legs which automatically lift the base up as you fold it out as a bed. This gives a sleeping surface height similar to a normal bed, making the Traditional Futon ideal for people of all ages.

	Simple conversion from futon seat to futon bed. Fold out the rear in one action to form a bed, the legs rise automatically
	High futon sleeping height . No sleeping low down to the floor, ideal for all ages

This traditional Futon sofa bed comes as standard with our Original futon mattress which gives good performance as a sofa or bed.

For additional resilience and loft you can upgrade your mattress to the PolyLux mattress which includes an additional layer of 450g/m2 SuperBond Polyester.

We are delighted with the futon but have given it four stars because of assembly. As disabled pensioners we found it quite cumbersome to put together. However, the finished product is wonderful. So far it has been used as a bed. It gives a good night's sleep (with a couple of toppers to enhance it). The purple covers are a great colour and we like that they can be removed for washing. We feel it's well worth buying and it was a great help in the circumstances that necessitated its purchase.

Excellent service and delivery and futon very comfortable; ordered the luxury futon mattress. Dropped one star as ordered the arms but assembled the frame and then looked at the instructions for the arms. Had to disassemble the frame to fix the arms and then reassemble; would have been helpful to have a note in the main instructions advising that if you have purchased the additional arms, please follow those instructions prior to assemling the main frame, neverthless, would highly recommend.

Brilliant very happy with this. Mattress is very thick and it’s just starting to settle into its seating position but is lovely to lie on.
Managed to it it together by myself (female 62) and was very pleased with the easy to follow pictures and the overall quality is very good.
I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

I called sit and sleep and found them very helpful, transparent and honest. I ordered a traditional king futon which came within 4 days on the day requested, for a minor delivery cost.
It took a short time to put together, it’s exceptionally well made and will last for years.
I use it as a sofa mainly and it’s so comfortable I love it. Highly recommend!
